Accident analysis and on-site testing
Indian Mill is considered to be the plank testing company and expert witness for scaffold decking conditions. We are often called to evaluate scaffold plank accidents and provide corporate safety training on care and testing of scaffold planking.
The criteria to certify a piece of wood to be scaffold plank is extensive, but users must use visual and mechanical testing to be confident of the long term condition of their planks. Over time the strength and safety of planks are lost. We have developed products and methods that can improve plank longevity immensely. The GRIP SEAL RHINO SKIN product stabilizes moisture inside the wood at factory dried levels and resists chemical attack.
Indian Mill is the only scaffold plank manufacturer with test equipment and the capability of going to an accident site to determine plank failures and give solutions.
